Alright. I have been on this forum for three years. I have read the megathread twice. I have read every gock guide, every gock testimony, every gock debate. I have tried The Method. I have tried seven other methods. I have consulted with GockPumpCoach directly (he was very patient, I will give him that).

I do not buy it.

I am not saying you are all liars. I am not saying nothing happens during neck extensions. I am saying that what you all describe as some kind of transcendent, reality-shifting, tear-inducing mystical experience is, in my assessment, a combination of:

1. Blood flow to the neck and jaw area during intense cervical exercise
2. Mild oxygen fluctuation from the breathing patterns prescribed in most gock methods
3. Confirmation bias reinforced by a community that desperately wants the gock to be real
4. The placebo effect, which is one of the most powerful forces in human psychology

That is my position. I have held it for three years. I am open to being convinced otherwise. AMA.

And before anyone asks: yes, I know it is weird that I have spent three years on a subforum dedicated to something I do not believe in. I do not have a good explanation for that. Ask me about that too if you want.

Steve.

Steve.

You have been here for three years. You have over 4,000 posts. You have read the megathread TWICE. You have consulted with GockPumpCoach personally. You have tried The Method and seven other methods.

I want to ask you something and I want you to think about it genuinely before you respond:

What kind of skeptic spends three years and 4,000 posts in a community dedicated to the thing they are skeptical of?

I will tell you what kind. The kind who is not actually skeptical. The kind who is afraid. The kind who knows, on some level that they are not ready to consciously acknowledge, that the gock is real, and who keeps coming back to this forum because the gock is pulling them here, and who frames their inability to experience it as intellectual skepticism because that is easier than admitting they are not ready.

Steve, you do not have a "skepticism problem." You have a surrender problem. The gock requires surrender and you are constitutionally incapable of it. Not because you are broken. Because you are scared.

I say this with love. Three years of love. We have been watching you, Steve. We know you are close.

I want to confirm that Steve did consult with me. We had three sessions. He was, as I noted in my private coaching records, one of the most thoroughly prepared non-gock-pumpers I have ever worked with. His form was impeccable. His tempo was correct. His breathing was textbook. He did everything right.

And yet: no gock.

I have thought about Steve's case extensively. My professional assessment, which I shared with him at the time and will share publicly now, is this:

Steve's skepticism is not blocking the gock. Steve's skepticism IS the gock, in a form he does not yet recognize.

Let me explain. The gock manifests differently in different practitioners. For most, it manifests as warmth, hum, cascade, shift. The classic profile. But for a small subset — perhaps 3-5% of the gock-capable population — the gock manifests as its own negation. As the persistent, inexplicable compulsion to deny the gock while simultaneously being unable to leave the gock community.

Steve, you are gock-pumping right now. You have been gock-pumping for three years. You just do not recognize it because it does not look like what you expected it to look like.

This is, admittedly, a controversial position within the gock instruction community. But I stand by it.

Steve I have one question and it is the only question that matters:

Why are you still here?

Not "why do you not believe in the gock." I do not care about that. Believe whatever you want. My question is simpler and more important:

You have been on this subforum for three years. You have posted over 4,000 times. You have read every thread. You have consulted with the actual gock coach. You have tried every method. And after all of that, your conclusion is "this is all placebo and blood flow."

Fine. Let us accept that premise for a moment. Let us say you are correct. The gock is not real. It is all confirmation bias and neck blood.

Then why are you still here?

If I decided that, say, astrology was fake, I would not then spend three years posting 4,000 times on an astrology forum. I would simply leave. I would go do something else. The fact that you cannot leave — the fact that you keep coming back, keep posting, keep engaging, keep asking and answering questions about a thing you claim is not real — that is the most compelling evidence for the gock I have ever seen.

You are the gock's best argument, Steve. And you do not even know it.

I said I would answer all questions and I meant it, so here goes:

I do not know why I am still here.

That is the honest answer. I have thought about it. I have thought about it a lot. And the best I can come up with is that this community is interesting. The people here are sincere. The phenomenon — whatever it is, real or imagined — is fascinating from a sociological perspective. And I suppose there is a part of me that keeps thinking "what if I try one more time and something happens."

Coach, with all due respect, this is unfalsifiable. If I experience the gock, that proves it is real. If I do not experience the gock, that also proves it is real because my skepticism IS the gock. There is no possible outcome that would disprove the gock under this framework. That is not how evidence works.

Maybe. I genuinely cannot rule this out. And the fact that I cannot rule it out bothers me more than anything else in this thread.

I am not closing the AMA. I will be here. I am apparently always here. Ask me anything. I will keep not buying it. Probably. I think.
