Alright. I have been on this forum for three years. I have read the megathread twice. I have read every gock guide, every gock testimony, every gock debate. I have tried The Method. I have tried seven other methods. I have consulted with GockPumpCoach directly (he was very patient, I will give him that).
I do not buy it.
I am not saying you are all liars. I am not saying nothing happens during neck extensions. I am saying that what you all describe as some kind of transcendent, reality-shifting, tear-inducing mystical experience is, in my assessment, a combination of:
1. Blood flow to the neck and jaw area during intense cervical exercise
2. Mild oxygen fluctuation from the breathing patterns prescribed in most gock methods
3. Confirmation bias reinforced by a community that desperately wants the gock to be real
4. The placebo effect, which is one of the most powerful forces in human psychology
That is my position. I have held it for three years. I am open to being convinced otherwise. AMA.
And before anyone asks: yes, I know it is weird that I have spent three years on a subforum dedicated to something I do not believe in. I do not have a good explanation for that. Ask me about that too if you want.
